I’m a little shocked I never shared this tune here (though I might’ve on Chicagoist back in 2010 or 2011 when it first came out) but it’s in that category of dependable bangers that will always instantaneously lift my mood, no matter how dark it may be.
"Structupoppie Rally" is an extremely sillily-titled song from The Color Bars’ album Prosopopoeia, but it's just got such a gently driving positive lift propelling it from start to finish, and it has yet to no be 100% effective in giving me a positive lift as well. From that opening burbling bass synth with a sassy little squiggly synth atop it, it's a total gas.
